University of Connecticut. She is currently an

Executive Committee member of the

International Sociological Association (ISA).

She also has several accolades to her name. She has recently been the co-recipient of the

American Sociological Association

's Jessie Bernard Award (2019). She has also received the

Sociologists for Women in Society (SWS)

mentoring award for 2019.
